Musician, sociologist and builder of musical instruments. For more than 15 years, Tito la Rosa has spent his life investigating the music from the Old Peru. He makes original instruments from the pre-inca and inca cultures, using ceramics, bones, stones, feathers, seeds, leaves, wood and cane. Through a constant search of a cultural dialog between times and dreams, the musical proposal of Tito la Rosa reunites the ancestral with the contemporary, this way fusing hundreds of years old musical instruments with contemporary elements. His proposal is intended for the search of balance and harmony with oneself and with nature.
Tito la Rosa resides at the moment at the mountains of the Peruvian Andes, (Carhuaz, Ancash), from where he hails. It´s a very special place, that finds itself between two mountain chains: the Black mountain chain and the White mountain chain. In between this two energy channels we find the great Santa river that connects them and the majestic Chavín Temple, monument of a millennial culture. |
